Why 'Our Many Faces'? The theme for our 2019 Unconvention is inspired by Virginia Satir, a brilliant therapist 'modelled' for excellence by Bandler and Grinder, as they developed NLP. Everyone has many 'faces' - of confidence, fear, courage, love, dislike, anger, wildness, shyness, anger and more. Often we judge our faces as good or bad, right or wrong, and fail to see the potential in them. Satir said that accepting all your faces is the first step to being loved. Her observation may seem at odds with current trends to fix upon a defined identity. Over the weekend, we will explore through trance and creativity what it means to define ourselves as fully human.
